In the WeVideo Timeline Editing Mode, the Main Track is different from other tracks. This track is the only one that allows you to add transitions between clips. In addition this track is gapless. This means that it maintains all the clips “connected” and ensures no spaces appear in between the clips.

Take advantage of this gapless track and drop your clips in the main track. Build your main story there and then, use the additional tracks for supporting clips (like text, images and music).
