As of Friday June 13, 2025 I have retired from 38 years in the classroom. On June 14 my Cheryl and I left Grand Rapids and subsequently Chicago O’Hare Fieild for a new adventure as volunteer missionaries with the Church of the Nazarene. We have landed in Lisbon and will spend a day here to help with jet lag. On Tuesday we leave for Zagreb Croatia. We will spend about 4 weeks there with a trip to Belgrade Serbia in the middle. Cheryl will be supporting pastors and teachers in teaching English Language Learners while I will be supporting the technology needs of the region. The region encompasses much of Europe and parts of Asia and the Middle East. (For more information click here: eurasiaregion.org ). We will be working with the Central Europe Field, and Eurasia Communications. I will be also working with the India Field as well as IT Support for the entire region. As the summer progress we will see if our assignment expands and develops. It mid August we plan to return to the US but in November we will return for the Regional Conference in Durrës Albania.
